How alternate dex numbers (ADN) are created

Alternate dex numbers are all composed of 6 digits. They are grouped as follows: 1-1-3-1.

The fist digit is the category:

The second digit is the sub-category:

For normal pokémon:

For special pokémon:

For legendary pokémon:

3, then generation number. For example: Mewtwo is gen 1, so 31.

For mythical pokémon:

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th digits are the family number inside the subcategory. For most pokémon, these are just continuous numbers (001, then 002, then 003, etc). In some cases, I purposedly left some blanks in case more pokémon are coming later (mainly in the 1-4 category).

The last digit is to distinguish pokémon of the same family.

About selected forms

Here are the concepts behind the forms selected to appear here.

This dex is mainly meant for the main series, therefore forms specific to Pokémon Go or other peripheral games are not included.

This dex is mainly aimed at having a living dex in Pokémon Home. Therefore, all forms that are not transferable to Home do not appear. This includes:

Due to the overwhelming number of Pokémon with very minor male vs female differences, male and female differences are only registered if they fall under one of these conditions:
